More acrylics...

Here is another miniature acrylic painting on mat board. It measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

Homework Avoidance

I was in homework avoidance mode, so I satisfied my rebellious nature and dug out the acrylic paints. Since I don't have enough time to visit the beach, I had to use a photo reference. Still, it was good therapy and practice. This measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches. I used a small filbert brush for the whole painting. I have micro brushes, but if you use just the tip of the filbert, you can get some amazing details. This took approximately 1/2 hour. I used a piece of cut-up mat board as a support.

Floral Studies

I have only had small segments of time for art these past few weeks, so instead of getting frustrated with a larger project, I've gravitated towards painting more of these miniatures. All three florals measure 2.5 x 3.5 inches, done in watercolor with colored pencils added at the final stage.

I will be starting a larger canvas in a few weeks for our annual FSYO auction gala event. For years I've done smaller watercolors for this project, but I'd like to start earlier and donate a larger painting in acrylics. It all depends on time!
