... a mother's Valentine message for her daughter

The challenge this morning was to come up with some art for Valentine's Day. I decided to work in my small Moleskine using a double page spread. The greatest thing about Moleskine pages, is that I can combine lots of different media and the paper holds up rather well. This sketch was done with a Pilot Precise V-5. I then used acrylic for the red background, adding watercolor washes and a touch of purple pastel, then finally spraying with Krylon Workable Fixative to keep it from smearing.
